Job Description
First Call Locums are looking for General Practitioners in Deanfoot Road.
This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across various primary care services, providing options for clinicians experienced in routine surgery, same-day demand, and continuity-led care with robust administrative support.
Role Snapshot
• The practice setup is designed to help you deliver high-quality consultations with streamlined workflows, consistent appointment templates, and a responsive team that supports referrals, results, and document handling.
• Flexible sessions available, with options of up to 4 days per week depending on your preference.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality face-to-face and remote consultations for acute and chronic presentations.
• Undertake safe clinical decision-making, including referrals, investigations, and safety netting.
• Manage repeat medication requests in line with clinical appropriateness and policy.
• Review results, correspondence, and action workflows within agreed timeframes.
• Contribute to safeguarding and clinical governance processes when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and coding to support continuity and quality outcomes.
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register.
• Recent UK primary care experience with confidence managing undifferentiated presentations.
• Sound understanding of QOF, medicines optimisation, and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centred consultation style.
• Ability to work efficiently within agreed appointment times and practice protocols.
• Up-to-date compliance documentation, including DBS and mandatory training where applicable.
Working Pattern
• Locum sessions available with a choice of mornings, afternoons, or full days.
• Typical availability can be up to 4 days per week, with flexibility around start and finish times.
• Session structure and clinical system details shared prior to confirmation.
