Job Description
First Call Locums is looking for Advanced Clinical Practitioner clinicians to join a progressive GP practice in Mountain Ash.
You will be working in a practice that values advanced practice, with defined governance, consistent clinical pathways, and access to senior clinical support for complex decision making. The service is designed to help ACPs operate at the top of their licence, with efficient admin processes and a team-first culture.
Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility on sessions.
An ACP opportunity with autonomy, structure and clear escalation routes.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced clinical assessment and management of acute presentations
• Undertake differential diagnosis, request investigations and develop evidence-based plans
• Prescribe safely within scope where applicable and follow local formulary guidance
• Provide robust safety-netting, documentation and appropriate follow-up arrangements
• Work collaboratively with GPs and MDT colleagues, escalating risk appropriately
Requirements
• Registered healthcare professional with ACP qualification or equivalent advanced practice training
• Independent Prescriber qualification where required for the service
• Recent experience in UK primary care, urgent care or equivalent setting
• Strong clinical reasoning, risk management and communication skills
• Commitment to clinical governance, safeguarding and high-quality documentation
Working Pattern
• Contract cover available up to 2 days a week with flexibility
• Sessions can be booked regularly or arranged as required by the service
• Start date and duration agreed to match your availability and service need
