Job Description
First Call Locums is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioner clinicians to support a modern and friendly GP practice in Bracknell.
This is a well-run primary care setting with clear clinical pathways, strong administrative support, and an experienced team that values safe, patient-centred decision making. You will be set up to deliver high-quality same-day care with access to on-site colleagues and escalation routes when needed.
Up to 3 days a week available with flexible sessions to suit your diary.
A focused ANP opportunity within a supportive GP team.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and minor illness presentations
• Prescribe safely within your scope of practice and local protocols
• Undertake clinical examinations, request and interpret investigations, and plan appropriate follow-up
• Provide safety-netting advice and clear documentation aligned to practice standards
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing and wider MDT to ensure continuity and timely escalation
Requirements
• NMC registration with Advanced Practice qualification and evidence of relevant clinical competence
• Independent Prescriber qualification
• Recent UK primary care experience managing same-day presentations
• Strong clinical reasoning, risk management and communication skills
• Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and commitment to high standards of record keeping
Working Pattern
• Flexible booking available up to 3 days a week
• Sessional options available to align with service demand
• Start dates and duration can be agreed to fit your availability
