Job Description
First Call Locums is looking for General Practitioner clinicians to support an established GP practice in Burton On Trent.
The practice offers a stable appointment structure, efficient support staff, and pragmatic clinical leadership focused on safe workload management. You will benefit from clear escalation routes, consistent admin processes, and a collaborative team culture that enables high-quality consultations.
Up to 4 days a week available with flexible session selection.
A GP role with organised workflow and a supportive clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver face-to-face and remote GP consultations as required by the service
• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of primary care presentations
• Prescribe appropriately and manage repeat medication in line with practice policy
• Action results, referrals and clinical correspondence within agreed timeframes
• Provide clear documentation and coding to support continuity of care
Requirements
• GMC registration with a licence to practise
• MRCGP or equivalent with inclusion on the GP Performers List
• Recent UK general practice experience with confident independent decision making
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
• Commitment to clinical governance, safeguarding and high standards of record keeping
Working Pattern
• Flexible booking up to 4 days a week
• Sessions available on a regular or ad-hoc basis depending on your preference
• Start date can be agreed to align with your availability and onboarding needs
